India Hicks presents Island Style
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Seminar Room, Suite 548
In Island Style, India Hicks invites guests into her world, offering never-before-seen imagery and irresistible behind-the-scene stories of her own design odyssey. Timeless and under-decorated, her rooms combine carefree Caribbean culture with British colonial form and formality. India’s presentation will walk designers through the basics of capturing the Island Style look: the subtle palette of island life, the pleasure of porches, the drama of entertaining, and the “more is more” style of living with collections.

The Institute of Contemporary Art and Phaidon join forces to bring you a pop-up design book store like no other. Peruse a curated collection of art and design books whose presence will make a statement on your shelves. A book signing with India Hicks will take place at Bibliophile Boston immediately following her presentation.

Spring has sprung, and what better way to celebrate than an elegant meal in the light-filled Galley West? Join us for a seated three-course meal celebrating all of the flavors of spring. Each ticket includes a three-course lunch and a refreshing beverage.

Grand Opening of the Market Stalls
9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Market Stalls, Suite 203
Prosecco Toast from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Experience the unveiling of the Market Stalls, a collection of high-end antique showrooms featuring wares from across the globe. Selected dealers will showcase a mix of period furniture; lighting and art from the 17th to 20th centuries; and art galleries targeted to interior designers, architects, consumers, and design enthusiasts. Light refreshments will be provided.

Meet with a designer to discover solutions for your design needs. Two representatives from our Designer on Call program will be available on each floor to answer any questions you may have about shopping the Design Center and working with a designer.
The Art of the Collection
Join designer Charles Spada for a presentation on “The Art of the Collection,” as part of Spring Showcase. Spada will speak to his methodology on finding the perfect antique. Charles Spada will also be debuting his new antique stall as part of the BDC’s all-new Market Stalls.
